What a Sunday Morning Looks Like

Sunday School begins at 8:15 AM, followed by worship at 9:30 AM. Our worship includes singing, corporate prayer, Scripture reading, and a sermon that works verse by verse through a book of the Bible. First time faces are common here, not rare, and we have shaped this church to be a place where a newcomer feels welcomed.

Bringing children? Ask at the door and someone will point you to where children's ministry happens that week.

What Kind of Church Is Lake Martin Presbyterian?

Lake Martin Presbyterian Church is a Reformed congregation in the Presbyterian Church in America (PCA), a denomination formed in 1973. We hold to the Westminster Confession of Faith and the Larger and Shorter Catechisms, and we believe the Bible is the inspired and authoritative Word of God. You can read more on our beliefs page.

Our church began as a small Bible study in 2020 before it was organized as a church. The history page tells the full story, and our mission and vision page explains what we are aiming for: a welcoming, gospel centered community for local residents and part time lake neighbors alike.

Our pastor, Rev. William Skinner, is passionate about biblical preaching, historic Reformed worship and helping people grow together in the life of the church. You can learn more about him and our other leaders on the leadership page.

Staying Connected Between Visits

Living an hour or two away does not mean you have to feel disconnected from the church. Here are a few ways to stay close, whether you are at the lake this weekend or not.

  • Hear the sermon. Weekly messages are on our media page and on the Lake Martin Presbyterian Church podcast, so you can listen from home and walk in ready for your next Sunday.

  • Ask for prayer. Send a request through our prayer time page and our congregation will pray for you wherever you are.

  • Meet other women. Our women's ministry is a good way to build relationships beyond Sunday morning.

  • Get the weekly email. You can sign up for our weekly email newsletter at the bottom of our homepage.

  • Learn about membership. The Inquirers Class is a low pressure way to learn what we believe and how membership works. Contact us to ask about the next one.
